Connection Is What We Do

If you have a cause you’re passionate about, please reach out to us today to see how we can help. Let’s make our communities a better place for everyone.

Why We Get Involved

We’re your friends and neighbours, and we want to see our community flourish—but our commitment goes even deeper than that.

We give back because it’s the right thing to do, plain and simple. Helping people is important to us, whether it’s by helping them find the right mortgage or by donating time and funds to local projects.

Take a look at how we consistently contribute to our community’s growth.

Mortgage Connection’s 25k Community Impact Giveaway

To celebrate local changemakers and amplify grassroots efforts, we launched the $25K Community Impact Giveaway Contest – an initiative designed to recognize and reward organizations making a meaningful difference. Through a public nomination and voting process, we invited the community to spotlight nonprofits and projects driving positive change. The winning recipients received funding to expand their impact, strengthen their programs, and continue serving those who need it most. This contest not only distributed $25,000+ in support, but also ignited awareness, gratitude, and momentum across our region.

Each year, in the days leading up to Remembrance Day, our team proudly volunteers with the Field of Crosses in Calgary—a powerful tribute honoring the thousands of Canadians who gave their lives in military service.

As part of this moving initiative, we help install Canadian flags alongside more than 3,700 white crosses along Memorial Drive. This act of remembrance not only pays tribute to the fallen but also strengthens our connection to the sacrifices made for our freedom.

It is a humbling and unifying experience that reminds us of the true meaning of service, legacy, and community. We are honored that Mortgage Connection is one of the primary sponsors and leaders of this initiative.

Our Projects & Partnerships

Kids Up Front

Not every kid gets the chance to see a live hockey game or experience their favourite band in concert—but we think they should.

The goal was simple: our team came together with members of the community and got sweaty in a spin class at YYC Cycle to raise money for Kids Up Front, an organization that helps kids get tickets to once-in-a-lifetime events.

Annual Holiday Campaign

Every December, Mortgage Connection donates $15,000 to charitable organizations and families in need.

Over the last couple of years, we have focused on local families nominated by our clients. To date, the Holiday Campaign has invested $90,000 back into our city and helped many Calgarians.

Fuel for School

Kids need to eat a balanced breakfast to help them succeed in school. For 4 years, Mortgage Connection donated $25,000 per year to support Patrick Airlie Elementary School’s Fuel for School program.

This incredible program helps make sure every child has a nutritious breakfast before they start their school day.

The Inglewood Outdoor Rink

Playing outside was a staple of our childhoods. We want to make sure today’s kids have a safe and fun place to play outside, just like we did. The community of Inglewood had received a government grant to build a brand new outdoor rink, but they still didn’t quite have all the money they needed. If they couldn’t find the extra dollars, they were going to lose the grant altogether!

Mortgage Connection was happy to step up! We donated $10,000 to kick off their fundraising and even helped them raise money among other local businesses until we reached our goal!

Beef Deliveries

Alberta is world-famous for its beef, and we want to make sure every Albertan has access to it!

Over the last 10 years, we’ve partnered with Creekside Farms to donate more than 100,000 lbs of beef (worth over $300,000) to local facilities and charitable organizations, including the Recovery House, the Calgary Drop-In Centre, YWCA, Sheriff King Women’s Shelter, Mary Dover House, The Mustard Seed, The Salvation Army, Fresh Start, and more!
