About Matthew:

Matthew Chawrun is an experienced mortgage professional with over 15 years of experience across the lending and mortgage industry, including 11 years as a mortgage agent. His career began after graduating from the University of Calgary with a degree in Finance, when he started working in lending with one of Canada’s Top 6 banks. He later gained valuable experience working with a monoline lender, giving him firsthand insight into how lenders assess mortgage applications and what they look for when making lending decisions.

Matthew then spent 10 years with another mortgage brokerage as an Associate Vice President, further developing his expertise in mortgage financing and client solutions. His extensive experience on both the lender and brokerage sides of the industry gives him a unique perspective and allows him to understand what lenders want while advocating for the best interests of his clients.

Matthew takes a solutions-focused approach to every mortgage. He works closely with his clients to understand their needs, goals, and circumstances, and then searches for the mortgage product and financing strategy that best suits their individual needs and wants.

Outside of work, Matthew enjoys spending time with his two young boys, golfing, fishing, and coaching hockey. His passion for helping others, combined with his extensive lending experience, makes him a trusted resource for clients navigating their mortgage journey.
